-gave up red meat and pork at age 13 and stuck with it(29 in 2008--when posted)
-picked up smoking and continued beyond the point of being cool, then quit.
-participated in a 24-hour bike race. Rode 70 miles!
-celebrated my 30th birthday in Brasil

My life currently goes something like this:

Friday: took my sister to the dells with a friend and her daughter. It was a lot of fun.
Saturday: worked from 3-11:30 then came home and started my biochem exam
Sunday: went to brunch with dave, worked from 3-11:30, then came home to work more on my biochem exam
Monday: finished up my biochem exam, worked from 3-11:30, came home and checked my answers, then emailed it in
Today: got my grade on the exam(95% meh), went to lab at 2:20, met dave at work for a coffee break(best part of my day). I will be either going to battlestars practice tonight or FINALLY moving my stuff into the new place, depending on if my new landlord is going to practice or not.

Wednesday: hopefully moving during the morning(no work or class!!!!), then I am skating in an expo bout at the Summerfest Sentry Sports Zone from 6-8pm.
Thursday: I have lab from 2:20-4 and another exam is due, then I am working from 7pm-7am on friday.
Friday: working from 3-11:30pm, then maybe checking out some midnight fireworks...please?
Saturday: chceking out the PBR burnhearts fiesta for an hour or two and then working from 3-11:30 on fucking independance day
Sunday: hopefully brunch with dave and then skating in another expo bout at the Summerfest Sentry Sports Zone from 6-8pm
Monday: Dave's birthday, but I am working from 3-11:30pm and then need to finish another exam due the following day.

Dave is the king of free furniture. We got a new couch last night. It's so comfy!

-bike to stonecreek and get a new 5lb bag of beans.
-make a dentist appointment. I'm debating between dr. zeeb and dr. paris. I have two recommendations for both of them and they are both on broadway, close to home.
-go to iron cupcake!!

I actually enjoy my job! I am sitting here at home after I just finished working 13 hours yesterday/this morning and I'm wondering what my patients are up to today. My shift was supposed to be from 3-11:30pm, but two of the 3rd shift aides called in and nobody else would stay, so I offered to stay until 4am. That was my first time being on the floor without a preceptor and it's technically not supposed to happen until the 2nd week in June, but they didn't have anyone else.

This is the first time I've really enjoyed a job and missed being there since I had a crush on Dan who worked at the hardware store with me when i was 15-16. He was so cute. There was one time his dad gave me a ride home and we had to stop by his house before dropping me off and the whole time he ignored me while i made googoo eyes at him. His dad said I was cute and he made an "ugh" sound. Heh.

A sign of maturity: I can enjoy a job without having a crush on anybody that works there.

Dave has a show tonight at Monkey Bar. Norma Bates is my date for the show. Tomorrow, I'm going to visit my grandparents and talk to them about my Hyundai that is no longer with me. They just got back from Arizona and I still owe them money on that car. They already know I totaled it, but I want to find out if they need to insurance money or if I can use that for forward rent payments so I can move out and become more independent and more myself. I saved the insurance money until they got back so I could talk to them in person about it and make sure they're not just being nice and saying it's no problem because I'm in school.

When I lived in Jersey, I had a friend named Kristen who absolutely LOVED Heart. I miss going out to karaoke and watching her sing "Alone".

-i cannot stop eating. I had 6 cookies, string cheese, a 4-ball falafel sandwich with tahini, a bagel w extra cream cheese, carrots, fruit leather, string cheese, veggie chili with cheddar cheese and hashbrowns. And I am still hungry. What the fuck? I didn't wear my patch today or yesterday, is that really what it is? Ugh.
-Sunday was 7 weeks without even a puff of a cigarette.
-I got 100% on my psych test today.
-I think I gained 5 pounds today.
-My next A&P-2 test isn't until April 7th, but I started studying tonight. I'm kind of pissed that he's waiting that long to give us the test. We have spring break from april 10th-19th, then class ends on May 21st. We have to cover Urinary and Reproductive in a month. I guess it's doable. I know I will be studying Urinary over spring break for sure.

I love cheese, all kinds of cheese. Show me a cheese and i'll love it. (limburger doesn't count)
No matter what, even though i crave feta every sunday morning, my deserted island favorite will always be aged sharp cheddar. I remember my mom feeding chunks of sharp cheddar to my brother and sisters when they were in their little toddler walker things with trays and i know she did it to me. Does this happen in other states? Do parents give their young cubes of cheese as a snack....daily? When we got older, we got the extra sharp cheddar. I didn't get the aged sharp cheddar until i had money to buy it on my own.....well worth the hour and a half it took to earn it working at the hardware store. Anyway, Henning's makes great 2-year sharp cheddar. When I started watching my weight last April, I nearly forgot the joy of cheese. Now that I have quit smoking, my renewed taste buds cannot resist. Plus, Dave keeps buying it so I don't have to spend $7.50 on cheese. Good thing I am taking the bus and walking more....hopefully that will balance out my cheese obsession!

Too much studying, so tired. I made dave a great dinner tonight. My weekend was crazy.

Today: Lunch with family, go through mom's clothes, slam's bday dinner, dancing at mad planet.

Tomorrow: GYM SERIOUSLY. I haven't since last week and it's making me ill. Study a little, cheese and raisin ravioli with dave, hiphop thing at Highbury

Sunday: Practico and lots of studying. No sunday funday. I can't wait til chili sunday next week!

I love sleeping with Dave. The flowers he got me are still alive! I've been changing the water and taking out the dead ones, but most of the lilies are still going strong and making the room smell good. I better take a shower soon and figure out when that damn 67 runs so I don't end up sitting at the bus stop for 35 minutes like last time.

I had a dream last night that dave and i went to some place with two other couples where you all share a hot tub and do it to it. It was pretty gross. It was outdoors. Afterwards, we played carnival games and some of the beerleaders showed up with their men to use the hot tub. I went to go buy them pizza and woke up.

-i had salad twice today, but i also had a massive plate of homemade potato chips covered in bleu cheese dressing and massive quantities of bleu cheese crumbles at Slim's after my exam.
-I freakin miss dave already. I hate when he goes away. I'm so needy!
-i was fired on monday, so I don't have work tomorrow.
-i have an interview with wheaton franciscan on tuesday.
-i think i will watch movies, write my psych paper and veg all day tomorrow.
-me me me!

I have heinous cramps, a throbbing headache, and my ears clogged when I blew my nose for the 5th time this morning. It's only 8:30. This is going to be a lovely day.

why can't there be an underground tunnel from my house to the practice space. ah, cold blue death!
